Theme: “Contribution of IITA Graduate Research in Transforming African Agriculture”
The International Association of Research Scholars and Fellows (IARSAF) of IITA organizes her annual symposium which create opportunities for students to interact and exchange ideas on their research activities. The theme of this year’s symposium is “Contributions of IITA postgraduate students’ research for transforming African agriculture”. Towards this event, you are hereby invited to submit abstracts for both poster and oral presentations on your research work. Please note that your abstract must be in line with at least one of the thematic areas of IITA listed:
- Natural Resource Management
- Plant Production and Plant Health
- Biotechnology and Genetic Improvement
- Social Science and Agro-business
- Food and Nutrition Science
Scholarship opportunity available for 5 students with very good abstracts from locations outside Ibadan will be borne by IITA R4D Directorate.

Call for abstracts
Original research/review papers (must be in line with the theme and/or sub-themes) are invited from interested participants. Abstract submission closes on June 15th, 2017
It should be prepared using MS Word (Line Spacing: 2, Font size 12 and Font style: Times New Roman).
Abstract should not exceed 150 words. Email addresses and phone number(s) of corresponding author should be provided for easy communication.
Registration fee: N15,000 per participant (registration package, lunch and tea breaks, abstract submission, e-certificate of participation).

Payments and registration for the symposium closes on June 24th, 2017.
