Tom Medlycott

Tom Medlycott is the Director of Internal Audit of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in Ireland. He joined the Department in 1998 and worked in a number of different areas prior to his appointment as Director of Internal Audit in 2006. He also worked with Voluntary Service Overseas as a High School teacher in Papua New Guinea during 2003 and 2004.

Tom Medlycott obtained his Bachelor of Agriculture Science in 1995 from University College Dublin. He then completed a Masters of Agricultural Science with the same university. His research thesis examined the use of computers on dairy farms in Ireland. He also completed a Higher Diploma in Policy Analysis with the Institute of Public Administration in Dublin during 2006 and 2007.

Tom Medlycott is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and an affiliate member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
