    This is a 5-day training workshop that will enable participants acquire the basic molecular techniques required for success in scientific research. Participants will experience hands-on training on genomic DNA extraction, electrophoresis, Polymerase Chain Reaction amplification, and RT-PCR and cDNA synthesis.

    Project partners implementing Africa RISING activities in Tanzania, Malawi, and Zambia will convene to achieve the following objectives:

    Documentation of scalable research outputs for dissemination
    Put together an advanced draft of the Africa RISING ESA technology handbook
    Review of main scientific achievements of the project
    Share report from PCT/SAG meetings held in June and determine follow-up actions
    Identify loose ends and how to tie them up
    Share progress on scaling partnerships with development partners
