Abdul Kadir Mu’azu

ABDULKADIR MU’AZU is Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. He graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria as a medical doctor and underwent further training as a Specialist Sports Medicine Physician at the Prestigious Australian Institute of Sports and University of Canberra between 1994 and 1995. He contributed to Policy Development that promotes physical activity amongst citizens for the promotion of health and prevention of noncommunicable diseases, and has been instrumental in the development of the other health related policies. He worked with UNESCO on the use sports to promote Sustainable Development and Peace within the framework of the 2030 Development Agenda. He rose through the ranks to become Director of Sports Medicine in the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development where he spent 7 years and in 2017 was appointed Permanent Secretary in 2017. He has also served in the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development.
