In Togo, IITA is currently working on building research capacity of the people through the Developing Capacity for Agricultural Research for Development (C4R4D) project in Sub-Saharan Africa. The focus is on strengthening research capacities in agriculture and the environment. To achieve this, we are looking at increasing the number and the quality of qualified agricultural science graduates capable of generating and disseminating research outputs that meet the needs of smallholder farmers and other actors in the food chains.

We are also involved in improving the capacity for strategic analysis and knowledge management of the agricultural sector among national and regional African partners through Regional Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System in West Africa (ReSAKSS-WA Phase III) project.
