An innovative approach to agribusiness training and start-up for Nigeria’s young people within the Young Africa Works Program
Project goal
The goal of this project is to enhance youth- and gender-responsive training in modern agricultural technologies and agribusiness, while fostering opportunities for young people, especially women, to engage in productive work or develop businesses in agriculture and agro-processing.
Expected results
- Improved capacities of learning centers and strengthened formation and functioning of youth agrihubs.
- Delivery of practical technical training in modern agriculture and agribusiness management, focusing on geographically relevant high-value chains.
- Equipped and supported vocational training centers in their transition into Youth Agribusiness Parks and Hubs.
- Collaboration with financial and other institutions to develop youth-sensitive loan and agribusiness support programs tailored to young people.
- Establishment of a platform to coordinate collaborative activities and serve as a linkage to other relevant Young Africa Works initiatives.
