Project goals

The project aims to test an alternative breeding strategy, establish a banana breeding program in Indonesia, and introduce BBTV- and Fusarium-resistant germplasm.

Expected Results:

1. The relationship, if any, between the seed set in the banana and the genome structure of the banana.

2. BRIN trained in banana breeding.

3. IITA receives new diploids from Indonesia.
