Jonathan is an international development communications and knowledge management professional with over seven years of progressive professional experience leading or involved in communication for development (C4D) work in at least ten sub-Saharan Africa countries. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Nairobi in Kenya. His areas of technical expertise are: communication and knowledge management strategy development and implementation, writing materials for different audiences, public advocacy, resource mobilization, budget management, desktop publishing, web content management, media relations, and digital strategy. Jonathan is also a certified process facilitator with the ability to help groups to do their best thinking through well-structured meetings/events and is a seasoned communication skills trainer. Currently, he leads the implementation of a communications and knowledge management strategy for Africa RISING, a USAID funded program led by IITA in Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Ghana and Mali.
