Agribusiness Specialist and Technical Advisor to ENABLE Youth, Sudan
Mary Thiong’o, a Kenyan citizen, is the Agribusiness Specialist and Technical Advisor to ENABLE Youth, Sudan. She is based in Khartoum, Sudan. Mary has an advanced degree in Programme Administration and other diverse technical training in agribusiness development, value chain and market development, business mentorship and project management among others. Her fields of specialization and interests are Agribusiness Development, Entrepreneurship and Capacity Development.
She has worked with both national and international institutions including; FARA; African Agribusiness Incubators Network (AAIN), Youth Enterprise Development Fund Board (Kenya), Ministry of Youth Affairs (Kenya), and Micro Enterprises Support Programme Trust (MESPT). Mary has a wealth of experience in agribusiness value chain development, enterprise development, capacity building of youth and rural based communities and a wide range of institutions. She has been instrumental in communicating business and project based content using both digital and non-digital platforms. Mary is proficient in developing strategies for agribusiness capacity development, financial access and business modelling to include youth and women across the continent with a special focus on the agribusiness incubation models.
