Soil and Plant Analysis Training

This training is designed to provide participants with knowledge and hands-on experience on conducting standard soil and plant tissue analysis for the purpose of maximizing land use and minimizing land degradation

Course Objectives

The objectives of this training are to equip participants with knowledge of emerging technologies in soil and plant analysis enhancing participants skills in evaluating soil and plant samples and making adequate recommendation.

Quality control in soil and plant analysis
Safety in the Laboratory
Management of commercial laboratory
Interpretation and reporting of Soil & Plant analysis data
Routine maintenance of laboratory equipment

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

Demonstrate competence in the use of standardized emerging technologies in soil and plant analysis
Objectively evaluate soil type and provide recommendation
Profitably manage analytic laboratory
Effectively interpret and report soil and plant analysis data
Comfortably perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment

Accomodation

All participants shall be responsible for their accommodation. IITA may make arrangement for interested participants on request. Accommodation request should be made at least three weeks before the commencement of the workshop.

Cost

Four hundred US dollars ($400) only or Equivalent in Naira, CFA or Euro. Fee covers Tuition, Training Materials and Refreshments.
