Siyabusa, a Zimbabwe national, is a Data Scientist working mostly on the Sustainable Farming Science Program. He is responsible for providing data and farming systems modelling related support to build solutions that increase agronomic gain and climate resilience in smallholder farming systems of the global south. His research interests are data management, farming systems modelling, and sustainable agriculture to improve productivity and resilience to climate risk in smallholder farming systems.

Before his appointment, he was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London, United Kingdom. He has previously worked for CIMMYT (2011-2015) and CIRAD (2015-2016) as a Farming System Modelling Consultant in Harare, Zimbabwe (2011-2015). From 2008 to 2010, he was an Agronomist with Agri-Biotech (Pvt) Ltd in Harare, Zimbabwe.

He has a Ph.D. in agriculture and climate change from the Climate Systems Analysis Group at the University of Cape Town, South Africa (2019). He obtained his BSc in Agriculture (Crop Science) and MSc in Crop Science from the University of Zimbabwe in 2008 and 2013.
