Yam improvement for Income and Food Security in West Africa (YIIFSWA) is a five-year program funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The program seeks to multiply the production of yam in the major producing countries, Ghana and Nigeria, through innovative agricultural concepts and techniques to stimulate a sustainable increase in the income of yam farmers and contribute to their food security and economic development.
