Technical support for implementation of the sustainable management of soybean rust project for smallholder farmers in Ethiopia and Kenya

Goals

The goal of the project is to promote increased soybean productivity through capacity building on correct, timely identification of the diseases and utilization of proven management practices

Expected results

  1. Increased awareness among smallholder farmers on the causes and impacts of soybean rust.
  2. Development of an early warning system (EWS) for surveillance and monitoring of soybean rust.
  3. Demonstration and adoption of integrated pest management (IPM) options for soybean rust.
  4. Development of a comprehensive project on sustainable soybean production for resource mobilization.
