Kayode Awobajo, a Nigerian, is currently the Head, Project Development and Administration Unit (PDAU). He is based in Ibadan. His academic qualifications include BSc. (Accounting) and MSc. (Management), both from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is a professional member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and West African Research and Innovation Management Association (WARIMA). Kayode is also a fellow of the African Institute of Strategic Managers (AISM) and the Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators (IPMA). He has attended several professional trainings, conferences, and project meetings (locally and internationally), and his areas of interest cut across diverse disciplines such as; grants administration/management, project management, fund sourcing/resource mobilization, grants budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance, strategic management and innovation, business development and risk management.

Prior to joining IITA in 2008, Kayode had over 10 years of significant progressive career serving in financial managerial positions in private and public organizations such as the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Nigeria, Oakstel Global Limited (an indigenous telecommunication infrastructure service provider based in Lagos, Nigeria) and University of Lagos, Nigeria. Kayode’s dedication to contributing to the goals of IITA resulted in his recognition with Award of excellence as Outstanding Support Staff (2012) by the IITA Board of Trustees and Recognition Award (2013) by IITA Management’s respectively. He also has records of impressive performance serving in key institute-wide committees such as Risk Management Committee, Sportsfest Committee, etc. and privileged to be part of the teams that won the Award of excellence as Outstanding Team (2015) by IITA Board of Trustees and 2018 Best Risk Non-Profit Organization by the Nigeria Risk Awards. Kayode is an exceptional team player who is hardworking, creative, strategic, versatile, dynamic, organized, motivated, and a result-oriented individual who is able to develop, motivate and coordinate teams of productive professionals to deliver effective solutions and the highest levels of performance.
