Dr. Henri Tonnang, a Cameroonian, is the Head of Data and Research Methods Unit at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Nairobi, Kenya. Henri specializes in data wrangling, modeling, simulation, and visualization transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that support high-impact knowledge transfer and evidence-based policymaking. His ability to bridge scientific research with practical applications has made him a trusted partner for governments, research institutions, and international organizations. Over the past two decades, Henri has worked with institutions such as IITA, ICIPE, FAO, and CGIAR centers, while building global partnerships with universities and development agencies. His leadership has driven innovations in pest forecasting, digital agriculture, and climate-smart solutions across Africa and globally. He holds a BSc and MSc in Physics (1996, 1998), an MSc in Control Engineering (2004), and a PhD in Applied Mathematics (2008). Henri is widely recognized for championing inclusive, science-based, and future-ready digital solutions to address pressing challenges in agriculture, health, and environmental sustainability.
