Project Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (PMES)
Solomon Adebayo, a Nigerian, is currently the Project Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (PMES) for the Innovative Youth in Agriculture and Youth in Agribusiness projects, operating across nine Nigerian states. Based in Ibadan, Nigeria, he has provided monitoring, evaluation, learning, research, and impact assessment functions to these projects since 2021.
With over 20 years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Impact Assessments (MELIA), Solomon specializes in evaluating projects and initiatives across various sectors, from individual projects to large-scale programs. In 2018, he joined the M&E Unit at IITA, Ibadan, as the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager. Later, he transitioned to One CGIAR for four years as the MELIA Manager, where he facilitated the development and adaptation of theories of change and MELIA Plans for implementing research actions within CGIAR’s projects.
Solomon holds an MSc in Statistics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a Certificate in Data Science from IE University in Madrid, Spain. He is passionate about setting MELIA standards, aligning M&E practices, and fostering communities of practice to ensure consistency, harmonization of tools, and optimized outcomes across programs. His work emphasizes leveraging data for continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, impactful agricultural outcomes and solutions.
