Samson Adeleke is a Family, Public Health, and Lifestyle Medicine Physician. He joined the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in 2007 and currently the Head of the IITA Medical Unit in Ibadan, Nigeria. He is a seasoned health practitioner with over 25 years of experience in clinical practice and health management. He has extensive experience in both private and public medical institutions, practicing as a Family & Public Health Physician as well as a Health Manager and Administrator. He earned his medical degree from the University of Ilorin in 1995, completed postgraduate training in Family Medicine in 2004 with the National postgraduate medical college of Nigeria, and obtained a master’s in public health from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2012. In 2024, he became board-certified as a Lifestyle Medicine Physician by the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine (IBLM). He is a member of several professional organizations including the Society of Family Physicians of Nigeria (SOFPON), Society of Lifestyle Medicine of Nigeria (SOLONG) and World Organization of National Colleges, Academies of Family Physicians (WONCA), and is an associate fellow of the West African College of Physicians.
