Titilayo Falade is a food safety scientist based in Ibadan, Nigeria at the Plant Pathology/Mycotoxin/Aflasafe unit. She is a Nigerian national and is the coordinator of the Food Safety for Africa EU-funded project. Her academic qualifications include a PhD from the University of Queensland, Australia; an MSc from Imperial College London, United Kingdom; and a BSc from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
Her research interests are currently on food safety, plant pathology, climate change adaptation and mitigation with focus on mitigating exposure to mycotoxins, heavy metals, pesticide residues, food fraud; biodiversity protection, and one health. She has 20 years’ work experience in several institutions including KPMG (Nigeria), BecA-ILRI (Kenya), and Aviation Environment Federation (United Kingdom).
