Regional Node for West African Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System (WA-SAKSS)
Goals
Building on the achievements of the first phase, the overall project objectives of the second phase of ReSAKSS are threefold:
- Consolidation and repositioning of ReSAKSS as the leading knowledge platform for agricultural policy planning and implementation in Africa;
- Full operationalization at country level of the monitoring and evaluation system (M&E); and
- Adequate technical assistance for the establishment and operation of country SAKSS nodes.
The Regional Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System Network for West Africa (ReSAKSS-WA) will bring together a network of partners to share data, tools, analytical outputs, and knowledge that will assist the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission and ECOWAS Member States to better plan and implement agricultural and rural strategies.
The above objectives will contribute to the following key project outcomes under phase 2 of the project: The availability of timely and relevant information to guide the planning, implementation, and evaluation needs of CAADP as illustrated by: The satisfactory operation of a well integrated M&E system as illustrated by: Fully operational country SAKSS in Benin, Ghana, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, and Togo
