Project goal

The project targets enhancing Burundi’s coffee sector through hybridization, tailored fertilizers, capacity building, rehabilitation of agricultural centers, quality seed multiplication, and monitoring and evaluation.

Expected outcomes

  • Developed varieties that are more productive and resistant to disease.
  • Developed fertilizer formulae adapted to agroecological zones.
  • Designed methods of integrated pest and disease control.
  • Enhanced capacity of ISABU researchers.
